Welcome to Job Club

Located within the Institute of Mental Health in Buangkok Green Medical Park, the  Job Club looks forward to helping individuals with psychiatric conditions, creating the opportunities for them to successfully re-integrate into society and empowering them to lead lives to the fullest as independently as possible.

Job Club serves as a centralised resource centre for these individuals  who often face challenges in choosing, getting, and keeping a job, to be part of the club to enjoy first-hand news on employment availabilities and vocational trainings.  Computer kiosks are



Specifically, Job Club will:
– function as a one-stop focal point in providing assistance in meeting individual employment needs;
– consolidate and streamline all existing employment resources in the intervention effort by various community mental health services.
– empower individuals with the skills and knowledge to secure and sustain a job placement 

available for them at the club to apply their IT skills and keep up with the latest technology through job-surfing.  In addition, information on work seminars and work fairs is regularly updated on the club’s noticeboard, encouraging them to actively participate.  Information on approved and funded courses like NITEC, BEST, WISE, etc. will  also be made available to individuals who visit the Job Club. Forming its own support group, individuals are welcome to share with others their success stories during monthly sessions and providing relevant advice to those who are still in search of employment.

Our therapists comprising  Occupational Therapists, Medical Social Workers, and Job Placement Officers, will provide vocational counselling to all individuals with psychiatric conditions.  Individuals will get to better understand their strengths and capabilities and the requirements of the various employment options available at Job Club. These are small steps specially paved for recovering individuals who wish to engage and excel in their daily living.

Individuals can be either be referred from the psychiatric outpatient  clinics or  inpatient wards. Alternatively, individuals may walk in to the Job Club to register themselves.
